Our History

EnviroChem, Inc., a Memphis based company, has a history dating back to 1929. It started as Jack Flint & Son, a hydraulic and hydrostatic equipment firm. Over a period of years it evoved into a manufacturing and distributing company offering cleaning equipment ranging from small pressure washers to "in plant: cleaning sysstems. In this evolution, it was recognized that the customers needed and wanted cleaning solutions and systems, not just equipment and as a result th company began producing its own line of chemicals. Jack Flint & Son, Inc. incorporated in 1972, acquired Consolidated Chemical in the late 1970's and Industrial Chemical and Supply in the early 1980's. Finally, to accommodate growing needs, the company name was changed in 1995 to EnviroChem, Inc., and is primarily chemical oriented, and Jack Flint & Son, Inc. became the equipment side of the company and sells and services most of the machine related business. EnviroChem's customer base has expanded from transportation and industrial applications to janitorial and general purpose cleaning, specializing in food service, healthcare, laundry and floor care products.
